Digest of Early Connecticut Probate Records, C W Manwaring, Vol II, p154-155: "Thomas Barber, Sen., 21 May 1713, Court Record: To Ann Higley, daughter, L61-s19-d00. 6 Sep 1714: Whereas, this Court heretofore granted lettersof Adms on th estate of Thomas Barber, Sen., late of Simsbury, decd., unto Thomas Barber, eldest son of sd. decd., who has since also departed this life not having finished his Adms. thereon, this Court doth now grant letters of Adms. on thatestate unto Jonathan Higley of Simsbury, son-in-law. 1 Nov 1715: This Court grant extension of time unto Jonathan Higley of Simsbury, Adms., until the 1st Tuesday of May next."
