Digest of Early Connecticut Probate Records, C W Manwaring, Vol II, p154-155, Thomas Barber, Sen: "6 Sep 1714: This Court doth now grant letters of Adms. on that estate unto Jonathan Higley of Simsbury, son-in-law. 1 Nov 1715: This Court grant extension of time unto Jonathan Higley of Simsbury, Adms., until the 1st Tuesday of May next. 5 Apr 1720: Whereas, it appears to this Court that the Adms. on the estate of Thomas Barber, Sen., deceased, hath not fully administered on sd. estate before his decease, the Court do therefore grant letters of Adms. unto Joseph Case of Simsbury."
