"...There were four brothers (sons of Samuel Barber - 3rd Generation) who removed from the old parish (Windsor in 1738 to Simsbury and lived in that portion of it now called Canton, in Hartford County Connecticut) viz Samuel, Thomas, Johnathan (sic), and John Barber, (all) of whom purchased land and lived contiguous to each other.
