Deaf Mute. Born Deaf and Dumb. Taken by Abbie and William Andrew to specialist in Chicago as a child because of delayed intellectual milestones and learning difficulties. He clapped hands behind Earl without response, told the parents their child was deaf. William stormed out angrily in disbelief at the diagnosis. Communicated w/ brother EAA knew sign language. Sold pencils and knick knacks from cigar box door to door. Married deaf mute. No issue.
