"This John, in his will, dated 1504, desires to be buried in the church of Rumburg- gives to divers orders of friars, to the poor of several towns and villages, and places certain property in the hands of his wife. 'She, to dispose them to the plesure of God and for the helthe of my soule, my friends' soules, and our benefactors' soules.' His only son, Robert, succeeded to the estates, and left a son John, whose will is dated in 1556, in which year he died, leaving sons Henry, John, William of St James Park, and Richard..."
