He m 25 Jun 1778 (intentions filed 16 May 1778) in Springfield MA Editha Hitchcock* b 1754 dau of Samuel (b 9 Jun 1717, d 17 Apr 1777) and Ruth (Stebbins) Hitchcock (of New Haven 1644, d 1 Nov 1659 at Weathersfield) and Deacon Samuel Chapin (of Roxbury 1638; Springfield 1642, d 11 Nov 1675). She d Oct 1819 Marietta OH.
*Her sister, Margaret Hitchcock b 25 May 1741 m Richard Falley, a soldier in the Revolutionary War, and had issue Margaret Falley b 15 Nov 1776 who m William cleveland and had issue Richard Falley Cleveland b 19 Jun 1805 who m Anne Neal and had issue Stephen Grover Cleveland b 18 Mar 1837 who was President of the United States.
