"Elizabeth was born 1722 and was 3rd child of John Rouse of Belpre and a descendant of Myles Standish and John and Pricilla Alden- Elizabeth died 28 Jun 1831. "Col Levi Barber died in 1833 and is buried in the Harmar Cemetery. "Their children were as follows: David born 14 Aug 1804 Elizabeth born 24 Feb 1807 m Felix Regnier Austin born 31 Oct 1809 mar in Illinois (Brad's ancestor) Levi 1st born 30 May 1812 died 30 May 1812 Levi 2nd born 1 Nov 1814 mar Abigail Kelly (OUR ANCESTOR) whose father was stolen by the Indians..."
BOOKS History of Washington County Ohio Illustrations and Bibliographic Sketches 1788-1881, HZ Williams & Bro Publishers Cleveland 1881 p411: "Dr Felix Regnier, the second son of Dr JB Regnier was born in Otsego County New York in 1801. When he was two years old his parents moved to Marietta Ohio, where he received a liveral education and began the study of medicine under Dr SP Hildreth. He received a diploma from the medical society of Ohio in 1824, and that year began the practice of his profession at Gallipolis Ohio. In 1831 he removed to Jacksonville Illinois where he remained two years and then came to Marietta. He had an office in Harmar and was regularly engaged in practice here until April 1866. During the sujcceeding eleven years he travelled in the hope of improving his wife's health. After her death in 1877 he removed to Carthage Illinois whre he lives with his son Austin B."
Washington County Ohio to 1980 (A Collection of Topical & Family Sketches), Washington County Historical Society, Inc, p83: "To this marriage [Levi Barber and Elizabeth Rouse] were born:...Elizabeth 1807 (married Dr. Felix Regnier) and built a home on the adjoining lot [409 Fort St.]- their house was torn down in 1976..."
