MEMORIES
Grandparents- Grandma (ELM) had a good sense of humor, liked to play cards with me, loved my summer in Cuba with her, Grandpa (GHA) always gave money and nice gifts.

Parents- My Dad taught me to tap dance, loved to hear him play harmonica and saxophone, I was very close to my Mom, she was sweet and always happy.

Siblings- Gene was the smart one, helped me with homework and taught me to play chess, George looked after me like "big brother", Art was my pal, I taught him how to dance, Gale was adored "baby" when born, good friends now and double date, Tootie was born the night I graduated from high school, we're still looking after her today!

Elementary school- Had fun playing on school grounds, in summer all activities were at school, took dance lessons and gave pageants for neighborhood at school.

High school- Graduated with my sweetheart, Jay Pierpoint, whom I later married. "The best times" of my life, dances, proms, good friends I still have and see. When I graduated, Jay and I were "going steady" but another friend, Larry Grant, sent me an orchid lei from Hawaii- so I wore Jay's corsage and Larry's lei. Larry went down on the Arizona at Pearl Harbor. He was 19 at time of the attack. I remember him with flowers at the Arizona Memorial every year I go over.

MARRIAGES
Jay Pierpoint- Feb 1943, met in high school, formal wedding- church, etc. Sherian- only child. He died 7 Mar 1951 of unknown causes.

PROFESSIONAL
Retailing- started in sales and ended as department manager in Ladies Better Sportswear.

HOBBIES
Dancing- Ballroom, bridge (duplicate also).
Beauty contests- Won bathing beauty contest (2nd place) at age 14 yo while living at 3417 Itaska St (all my brothers and friends supported me)
While living in Nashville TN entered the 1961 Mrs Tennessee Contest- got to 12 top finalists.

ORGANIZATIONS
PTA President Grade School Nashville TN while 3 girls attended 3 years.
Elder, Presbyterian Church, St Louis MO for 3 years 1983-1986.
