After 3 days of induction of labor, Michael finally made his arrival
tonight at 8:22. He was born on Holly's grandmother's birthday. Dave said he came out screaming. The doctor handed him to Holly and she kissed him.
He looked up at her and stopped crying.
Don't know the birth weight yet. He has lots of dark curly hair. The
doctors(there were 15 people in the delivery room with them) were very pleased with the way his lung sounded. Dave said it sounded a little "funny". They were taking him to St. Louis Children's Hospital NICU for precautionary reasons but weren't anticipating any problems. Gary and I will go down to visit tomorrow morning.
Thank you for your prayers. We are so glad our miracle baby is finally here.

For those of you that I haven't talked to yet,
Our son, Michael David Hoette, was born at approximately 8:22pm on Friday July 13, 2001. He was 8 pounds 7 ounces at birth. He was crying and had his eyes open within seconds. The doctors from Childrens Hospital made sure he was stable before letting Holly hold him. He is a strong, active and stubborn little boy and we can't wait for him to come home.
