WILLARD Samuel, author of the 'Complete Body of Divinity', the first folio volume printed in America, minister of Groton and Boston, son of the preceding, and was b at Concord 31 Jan 1640, grad at Harvard College 1659; was ordained at Groton, probably in 1663, having begun to preach there in 1662, from whence he was driven by the Indians, when that town was burnt in Mar 1676. He was installed pastor of the Old South Church 31 Mar 1678, officiated as vice-president of Harvard fro 6 Sep 1701 to his death 12 Sep 1707 at age 67. He m (1) Abigail Sherman 8 Aug 1664, whose mother was grand-daughter of Lord Darcy, Earl of Rivers; (2) Eunice, daughter of Edward Tyng Abt 1679...
